Festival of Learning Spaces Talk

We’re delighted to talk at this year’s Festival of Learning Spaces. We presented the Little Haldens school project and some of the key themes from the masterplan, our ideas for the low carbon school using local materials, a cross laminated timber frame and passive ventilation as well as key elements of the place making ideas for the wider sustainable place. 

We also chaired a conversation about Passivhaus and zero carbon educational buildings with Paul Phasey from Architecture PLB and Ian Tavener from Buro Happold.  Paul spoke in detail about some of the key design requirements of Passivhaus and Ian gave some great insight into reaching zero carbon in a listed building.
